Terms and conditions
Effective 28 October 2026 · Operated by I Can Get No SaaSisfaction, the Netherlands
1. Who we are and what this covers
rolllog ("rolllog", "we", "us") is operated by I Can Get No SaaSisfaction, a company registered in the Netherlands. These terms apply to the website at rolllog.io, the JSON API under /api/ and the MCP server at /mcp (together, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
2. The Service
rolllog publishes data about photographic film: values taken from manufacturers' datasheets and other named sources, and shop prices checked automatically. The Service is read-only and free for non-commercial use (see section 5). We may change, limit or stop any part of it at any time.
3. Film data
Every value names its source. We copy values as published and leave out what we can't trace, but datasheets contain errors, products change, and we make mistakes too. Data is provided for information only. Development times, exposure settings and similar values are starting points: test them before relying on them for work that matters. Where a source is marked "community", it is not the manufacturer's own statement.
4. Shop prices
Prices are read from shop pages and product feeds at the time shown, in the shop's own currency, and are not converted. They can be out of date, exclude shipping and may not include all taxes (US prices are before sales tax). A price on rolllog is not an offer from us: the shop's own website is what counts, and any purchase is between you and the shop. We are not responsible for shops, their products or their service.
Some links to shops may be affiliate links: if you buy something through them, we may earn a commission. It doesn't cost you more and doesn't change the order of prices, which are ranked by price only.
5. Using the API and MCP server
Non-commercial use is free. You may use the API and MCP server for personal projects, study, research and other non-commercial purposes, without a key.
Commercial use needs a paid licence. Using rolllog data or the API in a product or service that is sold, earns money (for example through subscriptions, ads or affiliate income) or supports a business needs a written licence from us first. Ask at hello@icangetnosaasisfaction.com.
Whatever the use, you must:
- stay within the rate limits (requests over the limit get HTTP 429) and don't try to get around them;
- don't disrupt the Service, probe it for vulnerabilities, or put an unreasonable load on it;
- keep the source information with values you republish, so people can check them;
- don't present rolllog data as your own work or as endorsed by us.
A credit such as "Data: rolllog.io" with a link is appreciated. We may block access that breaks these rules or uses the Service commercially without a licence.
6. Intellectual property
The rolllog website, code, design and the compilation of the database belong to I Can Get No SaaSisfaction. Datasheet values belong to their publishers; product names and trademarks belong to their owners and are used only to identify products. rolllog is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any film manufacturer or shop unless stated. Descriptions are written by us, not copied from manufacturers.
7. Privacy
rolllog has no accounts, sets no cookies and loads no third-party tracking scripts. To keep the Service available, we process your IP address briefly in memory for rate limiting, and our hosting keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address, time and requested URL) for security and troubleshooting.
We count usage on our own server: which pages, films, API endpoints and MCP tools are requested, the type of client (browser, script, AI assistant), the referring website and the response status. To count unique visitors per day we combine your IP address and browser identifier with a random value that changes every day and is never stored, and keep only the resulting code until the end of that day; after that only the daily total remains. We don't store IP addresses or browser identifiers in these counts, and they can't be used to follow you across days or sites.
We don't sell or share this data. Under the GDPR you can ask us about the data we hold on you.
8. No warranty, limited liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including accuracy, availability or fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent Dutch law allows, we are not liable for any damage from using the Service or relying on its data or prices, including ruined film, lost work or purchases. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for intent or gross negligence.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version; using the Service after a change means you accept the new terms.
10. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands. If you are a consumer in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of your own country.
